Introduction –
This section will describe your topic and your reasons for choosing it. Tell the reader what you know (or did not know) and what you want to know. Why are you writing this paper? This section should answer the following questions: Why did you become interested in the topic you chose? What personal connection helped you to pick this topic? Describe the situation that led you to decide to research this topic.
My topic will be... What time is it?
Adventure time of course. I know that adventure by definition is an exciting or unusual experiance; it may also be a bold, usually a risky undertaking, with an uncertain outcome. I want to know how far an adventure could go for the ultimate journey. I am writing this because this is the kind of person i am. I strive for excitment but not to a point where it is my whole life. I also want people to know that "YOLO" is not a valid reason for adventure. To any valid and reasonably normal person would know that the term "You Only Live Once" means to live life to the fullest and not waste your time. Sadly, in this day and age YOLO now means to do some big stupid stunt to almost kill yourself because you only live once. I started to get interested in this topic when I first joined Boy Scouts. It was such an amazing experiance that i stayed in the program and eventually went as far as possible and became an Eagle Scout. In my life that has been my greatest adventure.
Block by Block!!
Development plans for 300 places around the world are being modelled in Minecraft so residents can help decide how the locations will change.
Called Block by Block, the program is part of a collaboration between Minecraft-maker Mojang and UN Habitat.
Urban locations will be recreated on computer using Minecraft allowing residents to take a virtual tour.
They will also be able to change the model and help decide how regeneration cash should be spent.
One of the first places modelled in Minecraft as part of a pilot for Block by Block is the Undugu playground - part of the Kibera slum region on the outskirts of Nairobi.
"We'll be putting it into the game so people can walk around and feel like it's as real life as possible," Lydia Winters, community liaison manager at Mojang told the BBC.
Undugu has been recreated on computer by Minecraft modelling firm Fyre UK. Soon those who live around the playground will be able visit it to see the UN's plans to regenerate it.
I think it will be rather interesting to see what this new idea of building design has to offer. It is the perfect program for arciterctural design even with the game using different kinds of durable materials. I dont believe that when Notch was making this game for his own entertainment he could of possibly thought that this game would win game of the year and get a perfect 10/10, better than MW3 that had 9/10.
Video Game Sales "Dip" Strong sales of the latest Call of Duty and Halo sequels were not enough to prevent a drop in annual US video game sales, according to research firm NPD. It suggests sales of hardware and software sold by retailers were down 11% on the year in November. Nintendo's Wii U also launched that month and Assassin's Creed 3 had just gone on sale. The figure does not include digital downloads. NPD linked the drop to weaker sales of titles outside the top five. "Despite an overall retail video game decline of 11%, November had the smallest year-over-year decrease we have seen for dollar and unit sales so far this year," it said in a statement. "Overall entertainment software units decreased by 15%, however, when comparing the performance of the top five titles from this year to last, we see a rise in unit sales of 5% - games outside of the top five sold less, leading to overall declines." Figures may also have been depressed by the fact there were fewer releases this November than a year earlier when Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Lego Harry Potter 5-7 and Modern Warfare 3 were among titles that went on sale. Blockbuster sales Activision, Microsoft and Nintendo have all been touting the success of their new products over recent days.
My Response: This article shocks me but only to an extent. It is very true that these video games were supposed to be the saviors to bring video games to new heights for more of a profit for companies such as Microsoft, Activision, and Nintendo. Many people could argue many ways to the faults of these "Dips", as they're being called, but the main problem is pirating!! Other than the people that buy games online and play on PC, which numbers of those have doubled since the release of Counter Strike: Global Offense in August 21, 2012, along with Team Fortress 2 being free to play. Other than those people there are dishonest players out there, and even I confess to playing some. Once the site Megaupload was taken off another stealthy site called thepiratebay.se. This site was not as open to people as megaupload was, but still is just as easy to use and FREE!!!! People have gotten their hands on such $60 game such as: Black Ops 2, and Halo 4. Doing this is not only illegal but is EASIER than going to a store and buying the game!! You can even do such things as to download for Xbox or ps3 and burn to a playable disc that cost probably $10 at Staples, and BOOM!!! free game.
